Alexander Technique

As a practitioner of the Alexander Technique, she firmly believes in cultivating a good use of the body when playing the harp. Hence she incorporates elements of the technique into her teaching, to help her pupils find freedom in movement and know how to care for their bodies while learning the instrument.

"The Alexander work has given Dora more confidence in herself, more co-ordination and balance with the instrument and the ability to practice constructively. Most of all Alexander has deepened in Dora the skill to come to a quiet powerful state that allows her to put all her skills and musicianship into powerful performance... It is a great tribute to Dora that she opened her mind to the wonderful work of Alexander and has taken so much benefit from it."
